Dogs of Stephen Steed & Laura Price are awarded to Authority

On the 28th November 2023 at Newport Magistrates court, six dogs belonging to Stephen Steed and Laura Price were awarded to Monmouthshire County Council / Animal Licensing Wales. The district judge awarded the dogs to authority in the Section 20 hearing and also ordered Steed and Price to each pay costs of £20,139.66.

The dogs were taken into possession on welfare grounds when a warrant was executed at the property of Steed & Price in Blaenau Gwent in March this year. The six dogs consisted of three Pocket Bullies, two XL Bullys and a French Bulldog, most of which were found to have mutilated ears.

A prosecution has been instigated for animal welfare and unlicensed dog breeding and the matter will now be pursued through the courts against both Steed and Price.
